Responsibilities Operate grinding machines and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment to sharpen and shape knives used in wood milling processes Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precise tool dimensions and sharpness Maintain and troubleshoot grinding equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met Read technical drawings and AutoCAD files to understand specifications for knife shapes and angles Prepare and stage tooling to set up machinery for different milling projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Conduct routine inspections of knives and tooling to identify wear or damage requiring sharpening or replacement Maintain detailed records of grinding procedures, tool maintenance logs, and quality checks Organize and keep detailed track of all knife profiles Experience Proven experience in manufacturing or woodworking environments, with a focus on machining or tool maintenance a plus! Machinist mindset a must! Knowledge of carpentry, millwork, woodworking techniques, and construction principles is highly desirable Experience working with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other precision measuring devices Prior warehouse experience that emphasizes safety protocols and efficient workflow management Reliable transportation required We value safety, precision, teamwork, and innovation—come grow with us!
