  • Thursday with Potential Overtime Friday) QPS Employment Group has a great Press Operator position available at a company in O'Fallon, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Press Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Produce parts to specification as a resistance/robotic welder, hand loaded press operator, inspection/packaging, and/or press helper
  • Follow safe work procedures and general plant rules while performing the job.
  • Maintain a well-organized, clean work area
  • Ensure the required parts and materials are available
  • Perform job tasks as outlined on the Production Training Outline for the job task being performed
  • Perform basic measurements and monitoring with caliper, micrometer, scale & gauges
Press Operator Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals; fill out production reports
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to understands written, verbal or diagrammed instructions
  • Ability to frequently walk or stand for long periods of time for up to 10 hours a day
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, crawl, or kneel
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force to regularly lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
