General Production Worker Job Description This entry-level role offers hands-on training for mechanically inclined individuals who bring a positive attitude, reliable attendance, and strong punctuality. You will work in a production environment assembling heating elements and industrial heaters by following detailed drawings and instructions. The position involves using hand and power tools to drill and tap holes for mounting, attach various connections, wire electrical components, and mechanically assemble the final product from small parts. Responsibilities Follow engineered drawings, blueprints, and written instructions to assemble heating elements and industrial heaters accurately. Use hand tools and power tools to drill and tap holes for mounting components and hardware. Attach mechanical connections and fittings as required for each product configuration. Perform electrical wiring and electrical assembly tasks for heating elements and industrial heaters, with training provided as needed. Mechanically assemble the final product from small parts, ensuring all components are correctly installed and secured. Handle general production and light assembly duties to support daily manufacturing output. Work efficiently in a fast-paced assembly environment while maintaining attention to detail and product quality. Use hand power tools safely and effectively for assembly, drilling, tapping, and fastening operations. Assist with wire harness assembly and routing, following provided diagrams and instructions. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area in the manufacturing facility. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Adapt to changing production needs and perform other related tasks to support manufacturing operations. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude and interest in working with tools, machinery, and assembly processes. Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Capability to follow instructions, drawings, and blueprints with close attention to detail. Comfort working in a fast-paced production or assembly environment. Strong work ethic with good attitude, reliable attendance, and punctuality. Willingness to learn electrical wiring and electrical assembly tasks with provided training. Ability to handle small parts and perform light assembly work with manual dexterity. Basic understanding of mechanical assembly principles or willingness to learn on the job. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing, construction, or similar environment. Previous fast-paced work experience, such as production, assembly, or restaurant work, is a plus. Experience following blueprints or engineered drawings is beneficial; training is available.. Familiarity with wiring, wire harness assembly, or electrical components is an advantage; training is provided. Exposure to mechanical assembly, brazing, or working with insulators and small parts is helpful but not required. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
