$140 daily Job Description The sheet metal worker is responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing production sheet metal products and equipment such as control boxes, drain pipes, ventilators, and furnace casings. This role requires working in accordance with blueprints, drawings, and specifications, ensuring all tasks are performed to the highest standards. You would be working on aircraft carriers for the Navy. Responsibilities Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products and equipment. Repair production sheet metal products such as control boxes, drain pipes, ventilators, and furnace casings. Create sheet metal layouts and operate fabricating machinery. Shape metal over anvils, blocks, or forms. Operate welding and soldering equipment. Inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications. Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Essential Skills 3 years of related experience. Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication. Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings. Experience in HVAC systems. Skill in operating welding and soldering equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred. Certification in sheet metal fabrication or a related area preferred. Experience working in a shipyard setting is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pascagoula, MS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.66 - $37.31/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
