Job Description

Overview:
Seeking Welders and Shipfitters in Pascagoula, MS. Must be able to pass skills test, hair follicle, PFT and background check. Testing out in Pascagoula, MS.
Must Have:
  • Minimum 3-5 Yrs. trade experience FCAW and SMAW
  • Basic math, reading and comprehension skills
  • Read and interpret blueprints utilizing both metric and standard measurements
  • Knowledge of the layout, fit-up and fabrication of steel plate and beam.
  • Experience with various trade specific tools such as: grinder, hand torch, hydraulic and ratchet jack, chain fall and/or come-a-long, combination square, framing square, hand level and plumb bob
Job Description:
A First-Class Shipfitter/Welder is responsible for fitting, fabricating, assembling, and welding structural metal components used in new construction marine vessels. Candidates must be experienced with FCAW and SMAW processes, able to read blueprints and welding symbols, and capable of working in shipyard environments that may include confined spaces, heights, varying weather conditions, and multiple shifts. Safety, quality, and production standards must be followed at all times.
