Job Description
Looking for a summer job where you'll actually stay busy and learn how a real manufacturing operation runs? J&J Bagging is hiring part-time Production Operators to support our day shift team through the busy season. This is a part-time role averaging 20-30 hours per week with a flexible schedule that varies based on production needs — making it a great fit for students or recent grads with an open schedule. What You'll Do Assist with bagging, filling and sealing operations across our feed, fertilizer and grain departments Help stack, palletize and stage finished product for warehouse or shipment Support line changeovers, cleanup and general housekeeping tasks Follow safety procedures and department SOPs at all times Record basic production information and communicate any issues to your supervisor Receive hands-on training on mobile equipment including forklift operation What We're Looking For Must be 18 years of age or older No prior experience required — we'll train you Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift Comfortable working in a non-climate controlled environment and able to perform in adverse conditions including heat and humidity Works well within a team environment and communicates effectively with coworkers and supervisors Reliable, shows up on time and ready to work Takes direction well and contributes positively to the people around you Schedule Part-Time | 20-30 hours per week We're flexible and will work with each candidate to build a schedule that fits both your availability and our production needs. That might look like three full 10-hour days or a few hours each day throughout the week — we're open to finding what works. Production currently operates Monday-Saturday, 6:00 AM-4:00 PM. Your schedule would fall within this window, so come ready to share what works best for you.
