Signage Industries is seeking an experienced Wide Format Print Operator / Production Lead to join our growing Wide Format department. We're looking for someone with hands-on wide format production experience who can take ownership of daily production while helping improve workflow, efficiency, quality, and overall production capacity. This is not an entry-level position . The ideal candidate will bring practical industry knowledge and experience to the department and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities Operate commercial wide format printers and related production equipment Manage daily printing, laminating, cutting, and finishing tasks Plan and sequence print jobs for efficient production flow Maximize material utilization and minimize waste Monitor print quality, color, tracking, and consistency Troubleshoot printing and production issues Coordinate with Pre-Press to ensure files are production-ready Maintain consistent quality-control standards Perform trimming, mounting, and general graphics finishing Assist with material and inventory management Maintain a clean and organized production area Help develop and improve production procedures and workflow Cross-train in wide format graphics installation Assist with installations as needed Work with the Wide Format Director to improve production efficiency, capacity, and profitability Qualifications 2+ years of professional wide format printing experience preferred Experience operating commercial wide format printers Experience with laminators, cutters, and finishing equipment Knowledge of vinyls, laminates, and wide format substrates Strong understanding of material utilization and waste reduction Ability to troubleshoot print-quality and production issues Strong attention to detail and quality Good organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple jobs and deadlines Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of production Willingness to learn graphics installation Experience with RIP software Onyx and Adobe Illustrator is a plus Previous sign shop or commercial graphics production experience is a must What We're Looking For We want someone who brings knowledge and experience to a growing department The right candidate should be able to look at a production schedule, understand the materials and equipment involved, and determine an efficient way to produce the work while maintaining high-quality standards.
