Job description for Line Associate/Mix Prep & Wrapping table

Production Associates:

When an associate is on the production line section "A" their job consists in scooping the product into the tortilla dough, they have the option of standing or seating down, they also have the option to switch hands. This is a repetitive movement all day long, with the option for the supervisor to rotate the employee or for the employee to ask for a quick bathroom break as needed, if the circumstances will allow the supervisor to do so. When an associate is on the production line section "B" &"C" their job consists in folding the tortilla dough in half, they have the option of standing or seating down. This is a repetitive movement all day long, with the option for the supervisor to rotate the employee or for the employee to ask for a bathroom break as needed, if the circumstances will allow the supervisor to do so. When an associate is on the production line section "D" end of the production line, they are always two or three associates, and their job is as follows: Employee #1 will slide an empty tray under the production line for the product to fall into the tray. (Weight of empty tray 3.5 lbs.) Employee #2 will pull the tray out of the production line after the product has dropped into the tray (Full tray weight w/product on it 7.5 lbs.) and will put it into a rack. In this section of the production line, this is a repetitive movement all day long with the option of the employees to switch positions every 2 hrs. If there is a third associate in this section of the line, then he/she will exchange position with one of the other associates so they can have a bathroom break as needed. When an associate is on the wrapping table as we know it, he/she will take an empty tray from the tray cart, put it on the table and slide a wax paper over the tray and then put it back on the tray cart. This is a repetitive movement all day long with the option of the supervisor to rotate the employee or for the employee to ask for a bathroom break as needed if the circumstances will allow the supervisor to do so. When an associate is in the Mix/Prep area their job description is as follow: Employee # 1 or # 2 will cut the boxes of product, put the plastic bags of product into an empty tray, that will go into a rack and then in to the freezer, the next day employee #1 or #2 will pull out the racks from the freezer from the day before to the mix/prep area, Employee # 1 will cut the plastic bags then hand them to Employee # 2 who will dump the product into the mixer, this is a repetitive movement all day long with the alternative of the employees to exchange their position as well in order to have bathroom breaks as needed, the rotation in this area is minimum due to the experience needed for this type of work. Follow all safety rules and guidelines, any concern asks your supervisor immediately. This job description also includes the cross training of the employee by the supervisor in all different areas of this department, there are other type of responsibilities do not describe here but will be given to you by your supervisor based on the daily needs of the company. Your schedule starts at:

5:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Monday / Friday

. On Saturday, if you are scheduled for work it is mandatory to be at work, if you are not disciplinary actions can be taken up to termination. Saturday's operation will be based on the needs of the company for week, if there is no schedule posted make sure you ask your supervisor immediately, make sure you check your schedule every week.
