Non‑Exempt About the Role We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Machine Assistant to support our Converting Department. In this role, you will pack finished bags, prepare packaging materials, move completed boxes to pallets, and assist the Machine Operator with maintaining a clean and efficient work area. This position plays a key part in ensuring product quality, safety, and smooth production flow. Key Responsibilities Inspect bags to ensure they meet quality and packing specifications Monitor the production line and identify issues such as pile‑ups or packaging defects Stock, sort, and prepare bags for folding and packing Replenish packaging supplies (boxes, crates, glue, labels, etc.) Move pallets from production areas to storage Notify supervisors of production or equipment issues Maintain a clean and safe work environment Perform additional tasks as needed to support department operations Requirements Ability to understand written work instructions Previous manufacturing experience preferred Basic knowledge of production and processing Strong teamwork, communication, and flexibility Ability to follow all safety rules and maintain a clean workspace Basic English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills Basic math and measurement skills High attention to detail Ability to safely operate machinery, material‑handling equipment, and hand tools (training provided) Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move up to 40 lbs.
