Shift Production Associate Department:
Production / Manufacturing Pay
  • 18•20/hr Full Time•Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm Location Cherryville, NC 28021 Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Associate to join our manufacturing team.
This hands-on role supports day-to-day production operations by operating machinery, assisting with inventory management, performing basic quality checks, and ensuring smooth workflow on the production floor. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, works well in a team environment, and takes pride in producing high-quality products on time. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines. Perform machine setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting as needed. Receive and document incoming materials, verifying quantities and condition against documentation. Conduct inventory reconciliation tasks, including cycle counts, stock verification, and updating inventory records in the system. Perform minor quality control inspections and checks to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and report any defects, equipment issues, or process deviations promptly. Assist with assembly, packaging, labeling, and material handling as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area (follow 5S or lean manufacturing practices). Accurately complete production documentation, including process reports, associated logs, and quality records. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and deadlines. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and cGMP regulatory requirements. Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent. Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse environments is preferred (entry-level candidates with strong work ethic will be considered). Ability to operate machinery and follow detailed instructions. Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and inventory reconciliation. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods (8+ hours). Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs (22 kg) regularly and perform repetitive tasks. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and safety-oriented mindset. Basic computer skills (experience with inventory or ERP systems is a plus). Preferred QualificationsWorking ConditionsWhat We Offer Forklift certification (if applicable to the role). Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices. Previous quality control or inventory experience. Mechanical aptitude or experience with basic machine maintenance. Manufacturing/production floor environment (may include exposure to noise, dust, or temperature variations). Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
