Part-time, 2-3 days/week, in-person About the Studio Keiko Ivonne is a handmade ceramics studio producing hand-built functional pieces. Every piece is made and finished in a home studio, from raw clay to glaze to kiln. We're a small operation, so this internship means real hands-on time with the full production process, not busywork on the sidelines. What You'll Do Production support Prep clay: wedging, conditioning, and preparing clay bodies for hand-building Load and unload the kiln for bisque and glaze firings Assist with basic finishing work (sanding, cleaning greenware) as needed Order fulfillment Package finished pieces for shipping, following studio standards for protective wrapping and presentation Prepare orders for pickup or drop-off as needed Track inventory of packaging materials and flag when supplies are running low Studio operations Keep the studio clean and organized between sessions Help maintain glaze and clay inventory Assist with light administrative tasks (order tracking, restocking supply lists) as time allows What We're Looking For Currently enrolled in a ceramics, art, or design program (or equivalent coursework) and able to receive internship or independent study credit through your school Comfortable with repetitive, detail-oriented tasks; production ceramics requires patience and consistency Reliable and communicative about scheduling Genuine interest in ceramics and small-batch, handmade production; prior studio experience is a plus but not required What You'll Get Academic credit (we'll coordinate directly with your school's requirements and paperwork) Kiln firing credits, redeemable for firing your own work in the studio kiln Direct, close-up experience with the full lifecycle of a small ceramics business: production, packaging, and fulfillment Exposure to the hand-building methods used in the studio
