About Us The Driveshaft Shop (DSS) is a leader in high-performance OEM and custom driveshafts and axles serving the automotive and motorsports industry. We are a fast-paced manufacturing company focused on quality, precision, and continuous improvement. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Controller to support our CNC and Engineering operations by tracking production flow, coordinating materials, maintaining production data, and keeping manufacturing operations running efficiently. Position Summary The Production Controller plays a critical role in supporting production scheduling, material coordination, workflow tracking, and operational reporting within our CNC and Engineering departments. This role works closely with Engineering, Production, Inventory, and Quality teams to help ensure jobs stay on track and production bottlenecks are identified quickly. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment, enjoys working with data and production workflows, and can balance office coordination with shop-floor communication. Key Responsibilities Track CNC production requirements and workflow priorities Monitor production status and help identify delays or bottlenecks Coordinate material availability and communicate shortages Maintain spreadsheets, production logs, and operational reports Support production scheduling and workflow tracking activities Assist with inspection documentation and production records Work closely with Engineering, Inventory, Quality, and Production teams Update ERP and production tracking systems accurately Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department Help maintain organization and accuracy of production documentation What Makes Someone Successful in This Role Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to multitask and prioritize changing production needs Strong communication skills across office and shop-floor teams Self-motivated and dependable Problem-solving mindset with a sense of urgency Strong Excel and computer skills Ability to follow through and keep accurate records Preferred Experience Manufacturing, CNC, machine shop, or production environment experience preferred Production control, scheduling, inventory, or operations coordination experience preferred Experience with ERP systems such as Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus Experience with data entry, spreadsheets, or operational reporting required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Technical school or manufacturing-related coursework preferred 1-3 years of manufacturing support, production coordination, scheduling, or related experience preferred Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, and computer use Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds Ability to work in both office and manufacturing shop environments Exposure to moderate manufacturing noise and temperature changes Schedule Full-Time Monday-Friday Typical hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00
PM Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hourBenefits:
