Job Description
Farm to Cake Bakery in Waynesville is reorganizing our production team and looking for a dependable, hard-working person to help during our busiest production mornings. This is an early-morning bakery support position. It does not involve preparing pastry doughs or mixing recipes. You'll help our bakers by baking and finishing prepared items, keeping the kitchen clean and organized, stocking the display cases, and packing baked goods for our Saturday farmers markets. This could be a great first bakery job for a responsible student with an excellent work ethic, a willingness to learn, and reliable transportation. Required Schedule Thursday mornings Friday mornings Early Saturday mornings - Starting at 4:00AM Applicants must be available for all three shifts. What You'll Do Bake and finish prepared pastries and bakery items Help load and organize the front display cases Pack and label baked goods for our farmers markets Wash dishes, pans, utensils, and bakery equipment Keep work areas clean, stocked, and organized Help prepare the kitchen for the next production day Assist the bakery team wherever an extra set of hands is needed Bakery experience is not required. We are looking for someone who: Has an excellent work ethic Is dependable and arrives on time Is comfortable working early mornings Works quickly while paying attention to details Takes pride in keeping things clean and organized Can follow directions and stay focused Is willing to help wherever needed And works with a sense of urgency This is a part-time position. Pay is based on experience, plus participation in our shared tip pool.
