About the role:
The Production Lead is responsible for supporting daily production activities, coordinating workflow, and assisting the production team in meeting safety, quality, and schedule objectives. This position serves as the primary point of contact on the production floor, providing guidance, training, and support to technicians while ensuring work is completed efficiently and according to company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate daily production activities within assigned areas. Monitor work progress and help remove production bottlenecks. Support production schedules and ensure timely completion of work orders. Train and mentor production employees on processes, quality standards, and safety requirements. Assist with quality inspections and ensure adherence to work instructions and engineering drawings. Communicate production issues, material shortages, and resource needs to supervisors and planners. Promote a safe and organized work environment. Support continuous improvement initiatives and standardization efforts.
Qualifications:
3+ years of manufacturing or production experience preferred. Strong understanding of production processes and workflow management. Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and work instructions. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work on the shop floor for extended periods Ability to use hand tools repetitively and safety Ability to lift and move materials and equipment up to 50 lbs. (with assistance when needed) Have sufficient vision (with or without correction) to read computer screens, printed documents, and technical drawings; and sufficient hearing to communicate effectively by phone and in person. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Ability to bend, kneel, and work in panel enclosures and tight spaces Ability to distinguish wire colors and read printed labels/schematics
