Metal Tender

We are seeking a Metal Tender whose main focus is in the melting area. Individual may be required to operate die cast machines and assist in producing high-quality aluminum parts. Other responsibilities may include, die cast machine setup, operation, and quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications. Key Responsibilities Assist in setup and operation of die casting machines following standard procedures and instructions. Metal tend and refill furnaces to ensure a smooth workflow. Empty and recycle scrap bins. Perform operational setup tasks such as connecting cooling lines, setting time interval controls, adjusting temperatures, and heating dies. Use measuring instruments (depth micrometer, Vernier calipers, machinist rule) to verify tolerances and ensure quality. Inspect castings visually, sort, and place in proper containers; make machine adjustments as needed. Operate trim press, saw, sander, and deburring machine. Operate forklift for changing and transporting dies, castings, and materials. Maintain a safe work environment and exercise continuous attention to prevent injuries. Build constructive working relationships and project a positive attitude toward tasks and company policies. No previous experience or post-secondary education is required. Employees will be trained how to complete job tasks such as properly operating all equipment necessary for the job by our experienced technicians. Applicant must have forklift experience. Applicants must be capable of working in a hot working environment. This position is available for First shift from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. When offered, overtime is generally worked on Fridays. This position includes a signing bonus of $500 receivable in full at the completion of 6 months of employment!
