Production Team Member - Powder Coat Operator If you're looking for a hands-on job and want to learn a new trade, we'd love to hear from you. General Production Expectations While each position has a primary department and area of responsibility, all production employees are expected to assist in other departments and contribute wherever needed to support production goals, customer commitments, and overall operational success. Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic while contributing to a team-oriented environment. Be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers. Exercise sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills in daily tasks and decision-making. Be willing to cross-train and assist in departments outside their primary role as business needs require. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. Physical & Job Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions on concrete flooring for extended periods throughout the workday. Safely operate or learn to operate manufacturing equipment and machinery, material-handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, or obtain company-required certifications. Read and accurately use a tape measure. Maintain attention to detail while meeting production and quality standards. Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while adapting to changing priorities and production demands. Work area is not climate controlled and may experience hot summer temperatures and cold winter conditions. Exposure to powder coating materials, dust, and curing ovens. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and other safety gear when necessary. Powder Coat Operator We're looking for a dependable, hard-working person to join our team as a Powder Coat Operator. No powder coating experience? That's okay. We're willing to train the right person. If you're willing to learn, take pride in your work, and enjoy working with your hands, we'd like to talk with you. We're currently bringing a new powder coating line online, so this is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor and learn a valuable skill. What You'll Do Prepare parts for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, masking, and hanging parts. Operate powder coating equipment and apply coatings according to quality standards. Load and unload parts from racks, conveyors, and curing ovens. Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met. Perform touch-up or rework when necessary. Participate in training for our new powder coating line and equipment. Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or operational concerns. Help maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with other production-related tasks as needed. Experience & Skills Powder coating, painting, manufacturing, or production experience is a plus, but not required. Mechanical aptitude is a plus. Attention to detail and pride in producing quality work. Willingness to learn new skills and processes.
Work Schedule Regular schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Overtime may be required based on production demands, customer deadlines, and business needs. Additional hours or occasional Friday work may be required during peak production periods.
