Job Description

Production Associate -- First Shift -- Climate Controlled The Production Associate supports the manufacturing of large fiberglass tubes and related components in a high-volume industrial facility. In this role, you set up and operate production machinery, work from blueprints and diagrams, and perform a variety of tasks across multiple areas such as gear box, molding, element, cut & bond, and packaging. You follow established work instructions and safety procedures while maintaining accuracy, quality, and productivity throughout the production process. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions to select, position, and secure machinery and materials. Adjust machine settings and parameters to complete tasks accurately and within specified tolerances. Use tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to verify dimensions and ensure product quality. Perform basic program interaction on production equipment, including loading jobs, selecting programs, and adjusting machine parameters as required. Load tooling, install fixtures, and confirm correct part orientation before and during machine operation. Support machining, forming, assembly, or finishing processes depending on the product line and daily assignment. Identify and handle different materials, including metals, plastics, composites, and various production components. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED. Minimum 6+ months of machine operator experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/32 of an inch. Ability to convert fractions to decimals, or willingness and ability to learn this skill. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in manufacturing, including following safety rules and standard operating procedures. Ability to stand for 8+ hours per day and handle materials up to approximately 40 lbs as part of regular duties. Experience with machine setup and operation in a production setting. Basic ability to interact with machine programs, including loading jobs and selecting programs. Comfort using hand tools and power tools safely. Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and work with minimal supervision once trained. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
