Position Summary:
A galvanizing production worker will run equipment that chemically cleans grease, scale, dirt, and other foreign matter from the metal objects to prepare them for the galvanizing process.Essential functions:
style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" type="disc- -Load objects on cranes and on racks or containers that will be carried through a series of chemicals and rinsing baths.
- Examine cleaned objects to ensure standards are met.
- Must follow safety rules and regulations, including the reporting of any hazards, violations or injuries to your Team Leader, no matter how minor.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required by the Team Leaders to meet customer needs.
Qualifications:

- -Must be able to adhere to Lindsay policies and procedures, while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, (push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.) and reach to perform job functions
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with conditions including but not limited to cold, heat, bright sun, noise, and nuisance dusts style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" type="disc
- -Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, ear plugs, etc) Both English and Spanish Speaking individuals are encouraged .
