Production Associate | 1st and 2nd shift available | Weekly pay Job Description The Production Associate plays a vital role in packaging and preparing hay and hay-based products for shipment. In this position, you ensure all products meet quality and weight specifications, operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently, and contribute to a safe, productive, and positive team environment in a fast-paced production facility. Responsibilities Package hay and hay-based products to meet established quality, weight, and presentation specifications. Operate packaging and production line equipment safely, efficiently, and in accordance with standard operating procedures. Follow all safety and food safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment. Maintain production rates and support overall throughput to meet daily and weekly production goals. Assist with production line changes, including machine set up, changeovers, and adjustments as needed. Monitor product quality and report any deviations or issues to supervisors promptly. Communicate equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or process issues to supervisors in a timely manner. Perform basic troubleshooting and make minor mechanical adjustments within defined guidelines. Support general production tasks such as picking, packing, loading, assembly, and assembly line work as required. Use forklifts or pallet jacks, when trained and authorized, to move materials and finished goods. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following housekeeping and 5S standards. Adhere to all written and verbal instructions, work orders, and production documentation in English. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience as a general production worker or in a similar production environment. 2+ years of experience operating machines or production equipment. Proven experience in general production, packaging, and packing tasks. Hands-on experience with machine operation, machine set up, and basic mechanical troubleshooting. Ability to perform general labor duties, including picking, loading, and assembly line work. Ability to lift up to 65 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs for bulk items, including overhead lifting. Ability to stand for long periods in a fast-paced production environment. Comfort working in dusty environments and around hay and related materials. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working with production machinery. Why Work Here? The facility provides required safety gear such as high-visibility apparel and safety glasses, while you supply closed-toe shoes. The dress code requires practical work clothes such as pants or sweatpants and a shirt with sleeves, with no piercings or jewelry worn on the production floor.
