This position is ideal for someone with hands-on machining experience who takes pride in precision work and enjoys a stable, weekday schedule. Duties of the lathe operator include: Set up and operate manual lathes to machine parts to specifications Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measurements Measure and inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized Follow all safety procedures and shop policies Preferred qualification of the lathe operator include: Previous experience operating a manual lathe required Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools Strong attention to detail and quality Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Experience in automotive or transmission-related machining is a plus What you can expect as a Certified Transmission employee: Competitive hourly pay: $26-$40/hour (based on experience) Weekly pay Consistent Monday-Friday 7:30am - 5pm schedule (no weekends) Medical, dental, vision and other voluntary benefits 401k with company match Apply today and become part of a company that values skill, reliability, and craftsmanship.
