SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:00pm

PAY:

Training starts at a rate of $17.75 and increases to a maximum of $21.81 upon completion of training - typically 1 month.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Unpacking spools from boxes, totes and canisters
• Consolidating returns on to pallets to be stored until such time that refurbishing is required based on production demand.
• removing labels and residue from spools and canisters utilizing heat guns, small flat blade paint scrapers, sand paper, scotch Brite pads, and occasionally chemicals (alcohol, acetone, or similar).
• Cutting off small amounts of scrap wire remaining on the returned spools with a utility knife or snips.
• Removing spool handles with specialized hand tools
• Removing plastic inserts used in the production process.
• Inspect customer returned spools & canisters for defects (Cuts, dents, cracks, fractures, and deformities); discarding spools & canisters that are beyond repair.
• Cleaning every spool ensuring they are free of all dirt and residue by using buckets of clean water, soap, and towels.
• Sorting and packaging spools in the proper manner to be stored until such time that they are needed on the production floor.
• Logging individual production as directed by supervisor
• Logging customer returns as directed by supervisor utilizing provided documentation
• Ensuring all daily documentation is filled out accurately and legibly.
• Keep individual work area and the department as a whole clean (floors, benches, carts, etc.)
• Perform other miscellaneous duties assigned by Supervisor as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and background check.
• Ability to be on their feet for up to 8 hours per day (standing, walking, & bending)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to communicate clearly (both verbally & written)
• Strong use of the English language
• Safe use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment
• Ability to follow directives from supervisor, management, and corporate

Pay:

$17.75 - $21.81 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
