Mechanical Dimensional Inspector Location:
Portsmouth, NH Pay:

  • 3:30 PM Weekend Shift Friday
  • Sunday 5:30 AM
  • 5:45 PM 20% Shift Differential We're seeking detail-oriented Mechanical Dimensional Inspectors to join a growing manufacturing team.
This is a temporary assignment with potential to become a long-term opportunity for the right candidate. What You'll Do Perform routine mechanical, dimensional, and visual inspections of manufactured parts. Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators, and other inspection tools. Read and interpret blueprints and inspection documentation. Record inspection results and investigate discrepancies. Complete inspection reports and documentation accurately. Operate basic Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs with training and support. Assist production by ensuring products meet quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate quality concerns and corrective actions with supervisors and team members. Qualifications At least 1 year of inspection experience in a manufacturing, machining, or light industrial environment OR 1+ year of machining experience with some inspection responsibilities Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. Basic blueprint reading skills. Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). CMM experience (loading, unloading, or operating) is a plus Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Understanding of machining processes and manufactured components. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and perform inspections throughout the shift. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Pay Details:
