Overall Responsibility The Egg Packer is responsible for placing packaged egg cartons into final shipping cases. This position provides the final inspection and ensures that the correct product is being packaged into the proper cases. Key Areas of Responsibility This position involves shift work and therefore punctuality and attendance are imperative Pack egg cartons into cases Check the production run board for date codes and accuracy Apply and inspect egg carton labels to ensure correct date codes Keep work area clean at all times - clean up egg matter, paper, banding straps, etc. whenever time allows and prior to any breaks Assist co-workers as needed Attend safety training, use required protective equipment and always employ safety practices Ensure compliance with Food Safety and GMP requirements at all times Immediately report any compliance issues or matters related to quality or food safety to the Quality Assurance Manager or departmental supervisor/manager Preferred Skills Attention to detail Strong work ethic Good communication skills Physical Requirements Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds Stand on your feet for extended periods of time The above job description describes the general nature and level of work being performed and is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills for the role.
