Job Summary The Production Associate II (Extrusion) is responsible for operating and maintaining machines that extrude thermoplastic materials into tubes. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Run Extrusion machines to established specifications
- Prepares raw materials for daily production runs
- Measure and interpret tubing dimensions in relation to specification
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment
- Operate as a team player to assist in meeting department goals
- Breakdown and clean all extrusion equipment as needed
- Set-up extrusion equipment according to specification
- Able to identify visual defects in extruded tubing
- Able to identify and correct dimensional non-conformances
- Clean and polish all tooling and critical components
- Measures and cuts tubing
- Selects and installs specified tooling for the job
- Other duties as assigned Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- 1+ years' experience in manufacturing environment preferred Skills and Abilities
- Ability to follow processes/procedures
- Moves equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift
- Effective communication, include speaking, writing, active listening and taking instruction
- Mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple adjustments
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of PPE)
- Attention to detail
- Basic computer skills Working Conditions and Physical Demands To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
