Job Summary The Production Associate II (Extrusion) is responsible for operating and maintaining machines that extrude thermoplastic materials into tubes. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Run Extrusion machines to established specifications
  • Prepares raw materials for daily production runs
  • Measure and interpret tubing dimensions in relation to specification
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment
  • Operate as a team player to assist in meeting department goals
  • Breakdown and clean all extrusion equipment as needed
  • Set-up extrusion equipment according to specification
  • Able to identify visual defects in extruded tubing
  • Able to identify and correct dimensional non-conformances
  • Clean and polish all tooling and critical components
  • Measures and cuts tubing
  • Selects and installs specified tooling for the job
  • Other duties as assigned Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ years' experience in manufacturing environment preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to follow processes/procedures
  • Moves equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift
  • Effective communication, include speaking, writing, active listening and taking instruction
  • Mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple adjustments
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of PPE)
  • Attention to detail
