Job Description
Production Assistant Share via: facebook x linkedin email Camden , Maine Commercial, Corporate, & Pro Video Production Part Time 20.00 — 25.00 per hour Groundswell Media Lab Apply What You'll Do Production + Gear
- Assist on video and photo shoots throughout Maine
- Prep, organize, pack, and check production equipment before shoots
- Help maintain an organized gear inventory and equipment storage system
- Charge batteries, format and organize media, and make sure kits are production-ready
- Assist with basic lighting, camera, audio, and production setups
- Help with equipment rentals, pickups, and returns
- Assist with media organization and file management after shoots
- Production + Client Support
- Help prepare call sheets, schedules, shot lists, releases, and other production documents
- Assist with production research, location information, and logistics
- Keep project information and client records organized and up to date
- Help track upcoming shoots, deadlines, deliverables, and follow-ups
- Occasionally communicate with clients, crew, vendors, and other production partners Social Media + Content
- Help organize Groundswell's photo and video content library
- Identify strong behind-the-scenes moments and past work to share
- Assist with planning and preparing social media content
- Draft captions and organize assets for upcoming posts
- Capture behind-the-scenes photo and video during productions when appropriate
- Help keep the Groundswell website, portfolio, and project materials current
- Studio + Administrative Support
- Help keep the studio and equipment areas organized
- Maintain CRM and contact information
- Assist with research, outreach, scheduling, and general administrative projects
- Help develop simple systems that make recurring production and business tasks more efficient You might be a good fit if you:

- Are comfortable switching between creative, administrative, and hands-on work
- Communicate professionally and comfortably with clients and crew
- Are interested in filmmaking, photography, media, marketing, or storytelling
- Are comfortable learning new software and production systems
- Have reliable transportation and are able to travel to shoots throughout Maine
- Are comfortable lifting and carrying production equipment Schedule This is a part-time position averaging approximately 10-15 hours per week, with some flexibility depending on the production schedule.
