Howmet Aerospace is currently looking an Alloy Control Operator to join our Howmet Alloy located in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this Weekend Days position are Saturday, Sunday, Monday 6AM-630PM. Training on Day Shift Monday-Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions

• Retrieve hopper as specified by customer heat number;
• Cut or shear bars for furnace charges to customer's required weight using cutting or billet shear equipment;
• Request and prepare element additions for charges when required;
• May be required to TIG weld to required charge weights;
• Maintain all inventory statistics as required;
• Communicate with internal and external customers;
• Properly place charges in totes for transportation;
• Prepare shipping labels;
• Deduct charge cut weights from total pounds in hopper;
• Deliver charges to Dover Casting (customer) when necessary;
• Grind chamfer charges;
• Maintain logbook with charge cuts;
• Prepare serialized metal tags for cut charges and stamp with heat code when required;
• Operate score and break.
• Operate CMI (Large Ingot) saw.
