Job Description

Lead Large Format Graphics Production Specialist Overview Join our team as a Lead Large Format Graphics Production Specialist and play a key role in producing high-impact visual graphics across a wide range of applications including signage, displays, and branded environments. In this hands-on role, you will take ownership of the entire large format production process , from pre-press setup through final finishing and quality control. You'll work directly with ownership to help manage and scale the graphics department, ensuring every job meets high standards for quality, accuracy, and efficiency. This is a fast-paced, detail-driven production environment. This role also offers exposure to additional print processes, including apparel decoration , for candidates interested in expanding their skill set. This role is not related to offset, lithographic, or traditional press printing. Candidates must have experience in large format graphics, signage, or similar production environments. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end production of large format graphics , ensuring quality and on-time delivery Prepare and process files for print, including pre-press setup, layout, and color management Operate and maintain large format printers including: Canon Colorado
HP R1000
Roland XR-640 Run and manage Onyx RIP software Laminate and mount graphics to a variety of substrates Operate Colex Sharpcut digital cutting system Trim, finish, and package graphics for installation Perform quality control checks throughout all stages of production Troubleshoot issues related to printing, color consistency, materials, and finishing Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production workspace Work directly with ownership to improve workflows and scale production operations Assist with cross-department production when needed, including light support for apparel decoration pre-press Requirements Proven experience in large format graphics production, signage, or display graphics Experience working in a sign shop or similar production environment Strong understanding of pre-press workflows and file preparation for print Ability to operate large format printing and finishing equipment High level of attention to detail and quality control Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Ability to lift 50+ lbs and handle large materials Familiarity with MacOS and Windows PCs Experience with Google Workspace / Google Drive Ability to stay calm, efficient, and solution-oriented under pressure Preferred Qualifications Adobe Illustrator experience Experience with Onyx RIP software Experience with lamination, mounting, and finishing processes Experience with digital cutting systems (Colex or similar) Experience managing production or running a shop Bonus (Not Required): Exposure to screen printing pre-press Familiarity with apparel decoration workflows (screen printing, embroidery, heat transfer, etc.) Interest in supporting or learning multi-department print production Ability to speak English and Spanish fluently Work Environment On-site production shop Fast-paced, deadline-driven workflow Hands-on production role Small team where each member plays multiple and critical roles Direct collaboration with an owner and department lead Why Join Us Take ownership of a critical production role and help build a scalable graphics department from the ground up. Pay:
$65,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
