Shift:
3pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Able to assess a situation and determine if an issue is machine-related or process-related and take corrective actionEfficiently work on non-conforming processes to get them in specificationDiagnose complex extrusion problems to resolve issues, including flow correctionsWork with the supervisor, team lead, engineering, and maintenance to resolve complex issuesAssist with production qualification runs, including capability assessmentParticipate in and support projects that are driven by business initiativesProvide training, instruction, and guidance to production associatesSupport, train, and assess associates' learned skills through the Pay for Skills programWork safely and attainment policies. Ensure co-workers are working safely and following safety policiesTrain new operatorsIdentify and communicate appropriately when electrical/mechanical/technical support is neededParticipate and sustain 5S activitiesParticipate in and lead kaizen events, and sustain the improvements resulting from those events.

Maintain and develop back-up tooling and transition tooling into production.

Help develop and train associatesConduct and provide feedback where applicable for associatesParticipate and support projects that are driven by business initiativesSet up and start up any profile for all machines in a work cellTend to and operate machines in a work cell to produce required parts as determined by customer requirements and the production schedulePerform maintenance tasks as necessaryAttend and participate in appropriate training and development programsPerform other duties across the plant as directed by supervision or managementAssists crew lead and supervisor with the training and development of entry level and senior level operatorsQualificationsExperience with profile extrusion preferred.

Strong prioritization and multi-tasking capabilityStrong aptitude in problem-solving and process improvementBasic computer skills - Windows, MS Access, MS ExcelEquipment maintenance experienceAbility to articulate problems and solutions verballyAbility to read and comprehend written instructions and process proceduresAbility and skills to collaborate effectively in a team environmentSelf-motivated and capable of managing stressful situationsAbility to lift 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
