The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation's premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as "The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Edit/Media Assistant for Athletjcs. Among the key duties of the position are the following: Manages student broadcast crew, providing professional training from basic to advanced TV production practices. Assists in A/V engineering control room systems as well as manages camera systems for streaming and in-venue productions. Works with partners at the Big Ten Network on logistics and scheduling for streaming events, press conferences, and other media requests as needed. Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience in a NCAA Division I Athletic Department or equivalent of professional level. Experience in EFP /remote sports production, equipment setup and troubleshooting. Experience with broadcast-quality cameras and Viz RT/Trio character generators. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop. Ability to work under time constraints and meet assigned deadlines. Ability to perform duties with the highest standard of professionalism and ethical behavior and in accordance with University, Departmental, Big Ten or other affiliated Conference and NCAA regulations, policies and procedures. Preferred Qualifications Equipment Utilized Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop. Regular use of broadcast and cinema-style cameras.
