JOB SUMMARY
The Digital Media Team at the Teaching, Learning, and Technology Center is seeking a talented and motivated student to join our team as a Video Production Student Technology Assistant. This work-study position offers a unique opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in video editing and filming events on campus. The assistant will work directly with the Digital Media Team at the Teaching, Learning and Technology Center and contribute to the production of high-quality video content that supports the university's mission and enhances the learning experience.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Video Editing:
Assist with video editing tasks, including organizing and logging footage, assembling rough cuts, trimming clips, and adding transitions, title cards, and audio enhancements. Creation of Screen-recording and tutorial process videos.
Filming Events:
Collaborate with the Digital Media Team to help film various events, such as lectures, guest speakers, and campus activities.
Equipment Management:
Assist with organization and inventory management of video production equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting kits, tripods, and other related tools.
Post-Production Support:
Provide support in rendering and exporting videos in various formats for use on the University's video channels both internal and external.
Digitize Materials:
Work with the Digital Media Team to digitize and scan materials for archival. This can include photography scans and legacy video capture (vhs, MiniDV, etc).
Content Organization:
Assist in organizing and archiving video files, maintaining a well-structured digital library for easy accessibility and retrieval.
Documentation:
Help maintain accurate documentation and records related to video projects, including project briefs, shot lists, and editing notes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a current Seton Hall student Job will require lifting and moving of video production equipment, candidate would be capable of lifting 35lbs for general movement of equipment.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Physical Demands:
Carrying reams of paper as needed to stock printers. Job will require lifting and moving of video production equipment, candidate would be capable of lifting 35lbs for general movement of equipment. CONTACT Marsha Philemon
