JOB SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for leading the processes regarding make-ready, operations and maintenance of the printing press, in doing so efficiently, safely and accurately.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Job functions include but are not limited to the following: Setup and adjust press Troubleshoot and correct quality/machine problems Review job bag to ensure proper specifications Direct crews to stay on task Control color to proper delta E Ability to use densitometer Perform PM and minor repairs Work with Printing Manager to suggest potential improvements (productivity, process & quality) Ensure necessary color or register corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality of specifications of the work Ability to read and follow job specifications to determine press set-up materials needed to run the job successfully Adjusts press machine parts, such as feeder and delivery mechanisms, suction grippers, guides, feed wheels, jogging devices, tapes, and cams, using hand tools. Assist in removing and replacing worn rollers and adjusting pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools. Wash blankets and cleans ink and ink distributing rollers and ink fountains, using ink solvent and cleaning mechanism on press. Primary point man for maintenance of the press. Performs other duties as required to achieve the overall goals and objectives of the Company.
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE
Prior experience in a similar Press Operator role required. Manufacturing experience preferred. Experience operating hand jacks, electric pallet jacks and forklifts preferred. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent attendance, be able to work independently and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. SKILLS:
LANGUAGE SKILLS
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
•Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
•Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
•Company issued Fork Truck Operator's License
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required One year of professional working experience, preferred in a manufacturing environment

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
Schedules can be up to 12-hour shifts Mondays•Sundays (particularly if mode/continuous run schedule). However, employees must have the ability to work alternate schedules and overtime that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends for coverage and be punctual while doing so. •
