Full-time Compensation :
$25/ hour American Gypsum Company LLC has been manufacturing, selling, and distributing gypsum wallboard products for over half a century, servicing the drywall industry with quality products that are sold throughout the United States.
JOB SUMMARY
American Gypsum is currently accepting applications for a Summer Intern position. This temporary internship opportunity provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while supporting various departments and plant improvement initiatives. The intern will assist with projects, administrative tasks, and operational support activities under the guidance of plant leadership and the Process Improvement Manager.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years old Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a manufacturing environment Basic computer and organizational skills preferred Ability to communicate professionally with employees and leadership Willingness to learn and assist with various projects and assignments Ability to maintain confidentiality when needed Must be able to lift/move up to 25 lbs occasionally
PRIMARY DUTIES
SAFETY Operate in a safe manner, following all plant and departmental safety rules and procedures. Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Keep away from mobile equipment and interaction with operating machines.
OPERATIONS
Assist the Process Improvement Manager and other departments with assigned projects Support continuous improvement and operational initiatives Assist with data entry, filing, document organization, and administrative tasks Help prepare reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and other office documents Observe and support plant operations and improvement activities Participate in meetings, training, and project discussions as assigned Perform other duties as assigned by management
