Sparrow Company is searching for dependable and safety-focused Seasonal Mill Operators to join a food manufacturing facility during its peak production season. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining milling equipment used to process raw materials into finished products while ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, and production standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Operate milling equipment safely and efficiently according to production schedules Set up, adjust, and monitor mill settings to achieve required product specifications Monitor product quality throughout the milling process and make equipment adjustments as needed Inspect milling equipment for proper operation and promptly report mechanical issues Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance on milling equipment Maintain accurate production records, including batch information, production output, and downtime Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures Verify products meet quality standards before transferring them to the next stage of production Assist with loading raw materials and transferring finished products throughout the facility Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Collaborate with Production and Quality Assurance teams to ensure efficient operations and minimize downtime Perform other production-related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED preferred Previous experience in manufacturing, food production, or industrial production preferred Experience operating industrial machinery, milling equipment, or similar processing equipment preferred Experience in food manufacturing, spice processing, flour milling, grain processing, agricultural processing, or related industries is highly preferred Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and quality standards preferred Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify equipment issues and perform minor troubleshooting Ability to read production schedules and accurately complete production documentation Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Dependable with a strong work ethic and commitment to workplace safety

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to work in a dusty manufacturing environment Comfortable working around industrial machinery and moving equipment Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as production demands require Applicants may be subject to a background check.• A pre-employment screening may be required as a condition of employment.
