Job description:
We're looking for a hands-on production assistant to help in our print shop. You'll be trained to operate a perfect binding machine and a hydraulic book trimmer, and you'll handle finished books through the staging process.
What the job involves:
Operating a perfect bind binder and hydraulic book trimmer/cutter (training provided) Moving stacks of books and boxes of finished product throughout the shift Keeping your work area clean, organized, and safe Prior bindery, print shop, or production experience is a plus, but not required
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8 hours/day (40 hrs/week) Operating hours of 8am-4pm Essential physical requirements: Able to stand and remain on your feet for up to 8 hours per day Able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 lbs regularly Who does well here: Someone reliable, comfortable with repetitive physical work, safety-conscious around machinery, and attentive to detail.
