Job Description

JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Manufacturing Associate Assembly 1 will be responsible for performing basic manufacturing operations in which tasks are well established. T o excel in this key role, you must be able communicate clearly. This position's specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Must be able to retain all training. Must have the ability to read and follow written manufacturing instructions. Must have the ability to use basic measuring equipment. Should know what a drawing/blueprint is and will be involved in blueprint reading training. Must have the ability to properly use all assigned hand tools. Will receive training on area specific tools based on assignment. Must follow and obey all company policies and procedures. Will learn how to build cable assemblies or build other items as required. Computer use is mandatory, and skills needed to report your work in the manufacturing software must be learned. Must be a Team player. May include other duties as assigned and/or special projects.
QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Up to one year of manufacturing experience or related experience. High school Diploma or GED. Basic reading, writing and math skills. Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing. Should have some manufacturing environment experience. Must be able to work 40 hours a week, minimum. Must be able to work overtime as required.
PHYSICIAL/ENVIRONMENTS REQUIREMENTS
Requires visual acuity (visual ability to resolve fine detail) and manual dexterity (fine hand and finger movements.) Requires limited supervision for routine processes. Must be available for overtime work. Must be able to stand for periods up to 4 hours. Must be able to lift at least 10lbs frequently; up to 35lbs occasionally, and heavier weights with assistance. Must be able to wear required safety protective equipment including but not limited to safety shoes and glasses.
