Job Description
Shift:
Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm Key responsibilities include: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot folder-gluer and related manufacturing equipment Perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and equipment adjustments to ensure optimal performance Monitor production quality and conduct in-process quality checks Read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and measurements Follow and document work according to GMP, SOPs, and safety protocols Accurately complete production documentation and maintenance records Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and efficiency Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve equipment or process issues Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Education High School Diploma or GED requiredPreferred Fields of Study:
Technical/Mechanical Experience Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or maintenance experience Experience with industrial equipment maintenance and repair preferred Experience working in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred Experience with folding machines, press operations, or similar specialized equipment is a plus Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge Understanding of preventive maintenance procedures Familiarity with GMP, SOPs, and quality control practices Basic knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and control systems preferred Skills Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read and interpret technical documentation Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy Effective verbal and written communication skills Abilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Ability to lift and maneuver up to 70 lbs Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required Willingness to handle chemicals and work in an industrial manufacturing environment Physical Requirements / Work Environment Regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 70 lbs Work performed in a manufacturing/industrial environment Valid vision test certification required (renewed every two years) Excellent Benefits Thermo Fisher Scientific offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits effective Day 1 Paid Time Off and designated paid holidays Retirement Savings Plan Tuition Reimbursement Career development and advancement opportunities Benefits & Total Rewards | Thermo Fisher Scientific Additional Information Relocation assistance is not provided Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a comprehensive background check, including a drug screening Compensation and Benefits The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $16.58-$24.87. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
