Production Associate Job Description This role involves working in a manufacturing environment to load tungsten powder into processing equipment, monitor automated machinery, and ensure accurate measurement and handling of materials throughout the production process. You will support continuous operations by performing general production tasks, operating machines safely, and maintaining a high level of attention to detail while working on rotating 12-hour shifts. Responsibilities Load tungsten powder into boats and prepare them for processing through automated equipment. Operate and monitor automated machines that process tungsten powder by removing oxygen from the material. Measure and portion tungsten powder accurately into boats to meet production specifications. Load and unload materials, including handling items weighing up to 25 pounds, in a safe and efficient manner. Perform basic machine operation tasks, including starting, stopping, and overseeing equipment during production runs. Load materials into coolers or heat exchange equipment as part of the production process. Support general production activities such as material handling, packaging, and basic assembly tasks. Use hand tools safely and correctly for routine production and material handling tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient production. Stand for extended periods while performing repetitive production and machine operation tasks. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working in an industrial manufacturing setting. Essential Skills Prior manufacturing experience in an industrial environment. Ability to stand for extended periods while performing production tasks. Experience with basic machine operation and general labor in a production setting. Ability to load and unload materials weighing up to 25 pounds safely. Strong attention to detail, especially when measuring and loading materials. Proficiency in measuring materials accurately and consistently. Comfort working with production equipment, including coolers and heat exchange systems. Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively. Capability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including both day and night schedules. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with general production work, including packaging and material handling. Familiarity with automated machinery and production lines. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced industrial environment. Comfort working in an industrial setting with continuous operations and rotating shifts. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in an industrial manufacturing facility that operates on rotating 12-hour shifts. The first shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and the second shift runs from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Schedules follow a rotating pattern, with three 12-hour shifts one week and four 12-hour shifts the next, providing three consecutive days off one week and four consecutive days off the following week. The work involves standing for long periods, handling materials up to 25 pounds, and working around automated machinery, coolers, and heat exchange equipment. You will work in a production environment that requires adherence to safety procedures and appropriate industrial attire suitable for a manufacturing setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Depew, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $19.75/hr.
