BACKGROUND
The Production Control Clerk will be supporting the 548th DSSB Support Maintenance Company (SMC) Contract Logistics Support (CLS) at Fort Drum, NY. This is a full-time four (4) year contract position with benefits available.
Hours of Operation :
0800 - 1630, Monday through Friday
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Production Control Clerk is responsible for compiling and recording production data to ensure the smooth operation of all scheduled services, unscheduled maintenance, and repair part installations. This position plays a key role in planning, scheduling, and processing work orders for a variety of maintenance tasks. The clerk will verify, input, and edit data related to maintenance work orders while preparing essential documents to manage workload and resources effectively. Compile production data and reports on volume of production, material consumption, quality control, and other operational factors. Receive, verify, input, and edit maintenance work orders. Prepare documents used for scheduling workload and resources. Ensure priorities and schedules are met in line with production goals. Maintain detailed production sheets, work tickets, and related documentation for use by production workers. Prepare written work schedules and materials requisitions following established guidelines and priorities. Requisition and receive repair parts and materials as needed. Conduct Shop Stock List (SSL) inventories and ensure availability of parts. Maintain accurate records of maintenance actions and update equipment records. Utilize Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A) for data entry and record-keeping purposes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in maintaining production reports and data sheets. Experience in preparing and managing work schedules based on priorities. Familiarity with Shop Stock List (SSL) inventories and material requisition processes. Previous experience with maintenance forms and documentation of work performed. Knowledge of Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A) is required. Strong organizational and communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS U.S.
Citizen Ability to pass background investigation. A minimum of two (2) years of experience and knowledge of: a) production support of maintenance operations, (b) Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A) or equivalent, such as SAP.
