Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Office Furniture Designer with expertise in AutoCAD to join our creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and drafting innovative office furniture solutions that blend functionality with aesthetic appeal. Your designs will support our commitment to delivering high-quality, customizable workspace environments that meet client needs and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence modern office interiors through precise technical drawings and creative design solutions. Responsibilities Develop detailed AutoCAD drawings and 3D models of office furniture concepts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. Collaborate with project managers, interior designers, and clients to translate ideas into functional design layouts. Utilize SketchUp, Rhinoceros 3D, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite tools to create compelling visual presentations and prototypes. Incorporate color theory, lighting design principles, and ergonomic considerations into furniture designs for optimal workspace efficiency. Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including detailed drafting, material specifications, and contract drawings for manufacturing and installation. Assist in project management tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with vendors or contractors during renovation or remodeling projects. Stay updated on industry trends in lighting sales, interior design, and construction practices to ensure innovative and competitive designs. Experience Proven experience in CAD drafting with a strong portfolio demonstrating office furniture or interior design projects. Familiarity with AutoCAD is essential; experience with SketchUp, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite is highly preferred. Knowledge of lighting sales, lighting design principles, remodeling processes, and construction standards is advantageous. Strong understanding of project management techniques including budgeting, contracts management, and client communication. Background in interior design or related fields with a focus on furniture design or space planning is desirable. Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate client needs into detailed drawings while maintaining clarity and precision. Pay:
$54,917.56 - $60,000.00 per year
