Position Description Saint-Gobain's manufacturing site in Wheatfield, NY is seeking an Engineering Intern/Co-op for a full-time Summer 2026 assignment (May-August). This is a hands-on opportunity to build practical manufacturing experience while partnering with production, quality, and engineering teams. Your primary project will be to create, standardize, and document shop-floor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that help teams work safely, consistently, and efficiently. What you'll do Develop, format, and publish SOPs/work instructions for key manufacturing processes and equipment Work directly with operators and supervisors to capture best practices and clarify process steps Partner with Operations, Quality and Engineering to support document control, training materials, and change updates Support continuous improvement activities (data collection, basic analysis, and implementation follow-up) Spend time on the production floor to understand workflow, safety requirements, and product quality expectations IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

Required Qualifications Currently enrolled and in good academic standing Junior-level undergraduate or graduate student (or equivalent experience) Available to work full-time, daytime hours from May-August 2026 Able to work safely and effectively in a manufacturing/production environment Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills Self-starter with a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset Previous industrial/manufacturing experience is a plus A LITTLE MORE ABOUT US

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $21.00 - $25.00 per hour, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
