Job Title:
Production Line Operator Job Description The production line operator is a vital role responsible for various production activities necessary for manufacturing conductive materials such as metal plated fibers or coated non-woven materials. This position involves handling both large and small volume chemical transfers, preparing chemical solutions, inspecting raw materials, testing in-process and finished materials, recording data, labeling and packaging finished goods, and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of process and test equipment. Responsibilities Conduct large and small volume chemical transfers. Prepare chemical solutions and inspect raw materials. Test in-process and finished materials and record data. Label and package finished goods. Clean and maintain process and test equipment. Handle hazardous materials and manage spill clean-ups following established safety procedures. Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure a safe and productive workplace. Participate in environmental health and safety programs as assigned. Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to optimize operational efficiency. Assist in training operators according to facility practices. Essential Skills Manufacturing or chemical handling experience. Attention to detail. Safety consciousness. Ability to use a respirator. Ability to work independently. Additional Skills & Qualifications At least 6 months to a year of manufacturing or chemical handling experience. US citizenship. High school diploma or GED. Ability to work well with minimal supervision. Effective communication skills. Enthusiasm and initiative to develop and maintain robust, repeatable, and safe manufacturing processes. Compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA, EPA, DEC). Support for company policies, goals, and objectives. Why Work Here? The position operates on a standard schedule from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schenectady, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
