This position ensures materials are supplied efficiently while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. Entry-Level Responsibilities Perform basic sanding, grinding, and filing operations on flat blanks and fabricated components. Measure flat blanks and parts using measuring tools such as tape measures, rulers, calipers, and gauges to verify specifications. Inspect materials and finished pieces for quality and conformance to production requirements. Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections to prepare parts for the next stage of production. Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures. Assist experienced operators and production personnel with material handling and other assigned tasks. Learn and follow standard operating procedures, quality standards, and production requirements. Qualifications No prior experience required; manufacturing or shop experience is a plus. Willingness to learn basic fabrication and finishing techniques. Ability to read and use basic measuring tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate and monitor denesting equipment to ensure continuous production flow. Load stacks of containers, trays, lids, or packaging materials into the denester. Inspect materials for defects and remove damaged or non-conforming items. Adjust machine settings and clear minor jams as needed. Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance. Maintain accurate production records and report equipment issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel. Follow all company safety, quality, and food safety procedures (if applicable). Keep work areas clean and organized. Assist with line changeovers and setup activities as required. Support other production activities as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous manufacturing, packaging, or production experience preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the shift. Ability to work in varying production environments, including exposure to noise and temperature changes. Work Environment Manufacturing or production facility.
