Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Manufacturing Safety Specialist, where your expertise will drive a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee safety programs that protect our workforce and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations. Your proactive approach will foster a safe working environment, reduce risks, and promote health and well-being across our manufacturing facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on operational excellence and employee safety. Duties Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies aligned with OSHA regulations and applicable federal, state, and local safety laws. Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments of production, maintenance, and warehouse areas Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence. Develop and deliver employee safety training (LOTO, PPE, machine guarding, ergonomics, confined space, etc.) Deliver engaging training sessions on topics such as OSHA compliance, workers' compensation law, first aid, CPR, occupational health, and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) best practices. Maintain detailed safety documentation including incident reports, inspection logs, training records, and compliance reports. Track and report weekly safety KPIs (TRIR, lost time incidents, near misses, etc.) Oversee contractor safety programs and ensure compliance on-site. Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and coordinate drills to ensure preparedness. Lead safety committees and promote employee engagement in safety initiatives. Stay current with evolving safety regulations and industry best practices to continuously enhance safety programs. Experience Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred 5+ years of safety experience in manufacturing. Proven experience in manufacturing safety roles or industrial environments with a strong understanding of OSHA standards and occupational health principles. Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and report writing for safety incidents. Knowledge of workers' compensation law and EPA regulations related to manufacturing processes. Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, OSHA Safety Certification, or equivalent are highly desirable. Experience delivering effective training & development programs focused on workplace safety. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence safety culture at all levels of the organization. Familiarity with EHS management systems and reporting tools is a plus. Pay:
