Job Description

Job Title:
Production Specialist / Machine Operator - 1st
Shift Position Overview:
Operate and maintain a spiral winding machine that makes round tubes for various industrial and commercial uses.
Starting Pay:
$16.50 to $17.00 per hour
Review Schedule:
90 days 6 months 1 year Potential Pay Increases are based on attendance, attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to produce quality work. Annual reviews after the first year.

Monday to Thursday, 5:00am to 3:30pm Overtime (if required): Friday, 5:00am to 3:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate the machine, including: Maintain the machine at the required speed for quality production. Install and use heaters and lubrication pots. Operate multiple glue pots if needed. Set the cut-off equipment for the correct tube length. Adjust settings to ensure proper spacing and seam alignment. Thread paper ribbons through the machine. Adjusting glue application and tension devices. Changing and mixing glue.​​Installing new belts, mandrels, bushings, and blades. Load paper onto the machine, lifting up to 60 pounds. Other Job Functions Reads work order specifications to determine materials and set-up required to manufacture applicable part Retrieves a supply of required boxes and/or carts for finished products Is able to inspect all dimensions and request 2nd inspection as required Moves filled cases and/or carts to shipping or secondary process as required Keeps work area and equipment clean according to 5S principles
Pay:
$16.50 - $17.50 per hour
