General Production This General Production role supports a metal stamping manufacturing operation by performing a variety of hands-on tasks, including material handling, basic machine support, and quality checks. You work closely with a small crew on-site to ensure products are safely produced, accurately inspected, and prepared for shipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities Perform general labor tasks in a manufacturing and metal stamping environment. Work in close proximity to presses, benders, shears, and other production equipment while following safety procedures. Stack finished and raw products to feed equipment and maintain steady production flow. Prepare finished goods for shipment, including organizing, stacking, and staging materials as needed. Inspect final parts for defects and verify they meet quality standards before shipment. Use basic math skills to perform measurements, counts, and simple calculations during production tasks. Handle lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials and products weighing up to 40 pounds throughout the shift. Follow work instructions and production schedules to meet daily output and quality goals. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency. Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality, which is critical in a small crew environment. Participate in required testing, including a basic math and ruler test, and apply those skills on the job. Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues with materials, equipment, or product quality to supervisors. Essential Skills Ability to perform basic math, including adding and subtracting, and to pass a basic math and ruler test with a minimum score of 70%. Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. At least 1 year of manufacturing or industrial experience in general production or a similar environment. Strong attention to detail when inspecting parts and following work instructions. Self-driven approach with the ability to stay motivated and productive with minimal supervision. Consistent, hard-working attitude and willingness to perform a variety of physical tasks. Willingness and ability to work fully on-site in Archbold, OH. Ability to work scheduled shifts, including potential off-shifts such as third shift (9:00 PM - 7:00 AM), as needed. Ability to safely work around presses, benders, shears, and other industrial equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Archbold, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
