Kill Floor Production Worker

E R Boliantz Co. is a family owned meat packing plant located in Ashland, OH. We are expanding at an unprecedented rate and are currently accepting applications for a Harvest Floor Specialist. What you will do:

Handle livestock humanely which includes stunning, bleeding, skinning, eviscerating, splitting and trimming carcasses (beef, pork, and lamb). Trim, wash and weigh carcasses Sharpen and maintain equipment. Squeegee floors; spray and wipe walls; rinse, clean and sanitize barrels, racks, workstations and equipment. Clean barn and water/feed over-night livestock Drag, salt and load beef hides Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times What you will need: 1 year meat cutting or slaughter floor experience and at least 18 years old Knife experience along with the ability and willingness to learn new skills and company requirements Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and traverse a short narrow staircase/catwalk Must be willing to work in a cold/hot and damp work environment Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English is essential An agricultural background and livestock handling experience are strong assets Knowledge of primal and sub-primal beef cuts The ability to stand for long periods of time on concrete floors is essential to success in this work environment We thank all applicants for applying but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
