Job Description

Job Posting Title General Production Job Description Summary The General Production Operator is responsible for maintaining seamless operations across a diverse range of manufacturing lines. This role requires the ability to operate a variety of production equipment, including press, furnace, heat treating, coating, saw, and lathe lines, to meet dynamic customer demands. The ideal candidate is a safety-first manufacturing professional committed to delivering high-quality results through efficient, multi-machine operation.
Job Description:
Operate all press room equipment and maintain established run rates and quality standards. Use micrometers (standard, depth, bore), calipers, and gages to perform SPC charting and maintain quality systems. Utilize Plexus software for operations tracking and data entry. Demonstrate a strong understanding of material traceability, including tags and heat numbers. Operate a hi-lo and/or overhead crane in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strictly adhere to quality systems and follow formal deviations only when directed by supervision or quality technicians. Uphold 5S standards, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient workspace at all times. Actively identify and respond to safety concerns to maintain a zero-injury environment. All other duties assigned. Required Skills and Education Press operators will have an understanding of the manufacturing process, daily operation, material handling, quality criteria, safety issues, trouble shooting ability. High school diploma/ GED is required.
