Job Description

Job Title:
Production Associate Job Description The Production Associate supports a unionized manufacturing facility by performing a variety of general labor and production tasks across multiple lines and departments. This role works on a rotating schedule across all three shifts and helps maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality production by handling materials, monitoring equipment, and assisting with facility upkeep. Responsibilities Work a rotating schedule on all three shifts (11:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.) Monday through Friday. Perform a variety of general labor tasks throughout the facility as assigned. Dump excess scrap and defective coil parts in a safe and efficient manner. Load propane tanks for use on operating production lines, following all safety procedures. Work on the paint line and perform quality checks on coils as they come off the line. Monitor and oversee temperature control to help ensure production lines run smoothly at all times. Assist with facility maintenance tasks such as applying salt in the parking lot, cleaning workstations, and supporting general housekeeping. Follow all applicable safety procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture. Work effectively with other team members to support smooth production flow and meet operational goals. Remain attentive to detail while operating or working around machinery, line equipment, and measurement tools. Support continuous production by responding promptly to direction from supervisors and collaborating with coworkers across shifts. Essential Skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for the duration of the shift. Comfort working on feet for the entire shift in a fast-paced production environment. Attention to detail when performing tasks such as quality inspection and measurement. Ability to work effectively as part of a team on the production floor. Willingness to follow all safety procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture. Capability to perform general labor tasks, including material handling and basic facility maintenance. Comfort working with machine operation, line work, and measurement tools. Reliability and flexibility to work a rotating shift schedule Monday through Friday. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior production, general labor, or construction experience is a plus, but not required. Experience with quality inspection or line work is beneficial. Familiarity with measurement tools and basic machine operation is an advantage. Comfort working in a union environment. Strong communication skills to support trust and open communication with coworkers and leadership. Why Work Here? The position involves standing for most of the shift, working around production lines and machinery, and handling materials and equipment such as coils, propane tanks, and measurement tools. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.04 - $19.04/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
