Job Description

Curing Operator:
This is a night shift position Sunday through Wednesday 8pm-6am. Operator will train on dayshift Monday-Thursday 5am-3pm ~ 4-6 weeks then move up to nightshift. Operator will perform autoclave and post curing operations. Lifting 20-50 lbs. intermittingly. On their feet for entire shift. We can provide more details during the interview. $19.00 /hr. dayshift wage. Once on night shift it is $19.75/hr. Once hired on with company it's an additional $0.25/hr. In this energetic role, you will be actively involved in the manufacturing process within a food processing plant, ensuring that all products meet strict safety and quality standards. Your contribution will help us maintain efficient operations while adhering to industry regulations such as FDA (Food and Drug Administration) guidelines, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices). This position offers an engaging environment where your mechanical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to food safety will make a real impact. Duties Operate various machinery and equipment used in food processing and packaging, ensuring smooth production flow. Follow all safety protocols related to FDA regulations, HACCP, and sanitation standards to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in the preparation and assembly of food products according to established recipes and specifications. Conduct routine sanitation and cleaning of work areas, equipment, and tools to uphold strict hygiene standards. Use basic math skills for measuring ingredients, verifying quantities, and recording production data accurately. Support packaging operations by sealing, labeling, and preparing finished products for shipment. Operate forklifts safely when required to move raw materials or finished goods within the facility. Monitor product quality throughout the process, identifying any deviations from safety or quality standards and reporting issues promptly. Qualifications Prior experience in food production or manufacturing is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP practices, and food safety standards is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge or experience operating industrial equipment is a plus. Strong understanding of sanitation procedures within a food processing plant environment. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and recordkeeping. Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in all tasks.
