Immediate Opening for an Inspection/Production Operator I in the Dayton, Ohio area. Position Overview Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Inspection/Production Operator I to join their team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a consistent work environment, takes pride in accuracy, and can stay focused while performing repetitive tasks. The primary responsibility of this role is to inspect rolls of labels for defects and ensure products meet quality standards. The position is performed primarily while seated in a clean, cool, quiet, and comfortable production environment. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity, with the potential to be hired directly by the client after successfully completing the required hours through the staffing agency. Responsibilities Inspect rolls of labels for defects, damage, or quality issues. Carefully identify and document defects according to established procedures. Perform repetitive inspection tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Use basic math skills to complete job-related tasks. Utilize a computer and ERP system to enter and retrieve information. Learn and follow company procedures, quality standards, and production requirements. Perform a variety of tasks and adjust priorities as needed. Communicate quality concerns or issues to appropriate team members. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Follow all company safety and quality guidelines. Qualifications Strong attention to detail and ability to identify small defects. Basic math skills. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn an ERP system. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain focused while performing repetitive work. Willingness to learn new processes and procedures. Ability to be flexible and perform a variety of tasks. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Positive attitude and dependable work ethic. Previous manufacturing, production, quality inspection, or similar experience is required. Work Environment Primarily seated position. Repetitive inspection work involving rolls of labels. Clean, cool, quiet, and comfortable work environment. No loud production noise. Employees may listen to their phone using one AirPod, provided it does not interfere with safety, communication, or job performance. Business casual dress code; jeans are permitted. Closed-toe shoes are required. Dress expectations are more relaxed within the production area.
